Some helpful items to know about the Dart tool and our sealant include the following:

The DART was designed to work where the sealant stops working, which is a puncture or slice 5mm in size. If the sealant is not sealing something smaller than this then you need more sealant in the tire.
Any new tire will absorb sealant from your first fill. Adding the recommended amount to start with is good but after a couple of rides, the volume may have decreased to a point too low to seal up punctures. Top off your sealant quarterly throughout the year to avoid issues.
We have updated the DART Tool and materials to make them stronger and less likely to fail when you need them most, but older versions do not expire over time. Please continue to use and retain your remaining products for use with the new replacements.
Sealant and high tire pressure do not get along well. If the tire pressure is relatively high (above 45psi), it will force the liquid sealant out of the puncture before the sealant can "pack up" or coagulate to seal the hole. Try letting air out in high-pressure situations to allow the sealant to work.
Take care to align the DART tool straight with the puncture to avoid applying side pressure. Now push the tip and DART material into the puncture until the body of the DART tool makes contact with the tire.
