I have used Stan's products for years without issues. However, in recently trying to retape a DT Swiss E1700 rim that was already set up tubeless and just needed new tape to reseal the rim, I went through almost 3 rolls of Stan's tape, over a quart of sealant, and still could not get the rim to seal properly. I watched the instructional videos from Stan's online, I followed the directions to the T. Keep in mind this is not the first time I have set up tubeless tires and the tires I was setting up were premium tires from Continental. After months of frustration and redoing the set-up over and over again, I finally decided to use a different brand available from my local bike shop from Muc-Off. Worked the 1st time and installation was completely intuitive. With the Stan's tape I never knew if I was pulling the tape too much or too little, the adhesive seemed weak, and the tape had always failed at one point or another when I had to pull the tire back off to see what had happened. I will never use this rim tape again. Save your money and use a different brand. I am not saying the tape has no value but if it requires so much trial and error to get it to work vs being completely intuitive it is not worth the money. At almost $20 per roll, what a joke!
