Stan’s Original Rim Tape creates a durable and airtight seal between tubeless rims and tubeless tires, creating an ideal environment for tubeless sealant to remain liquid for as long as possible. The non-porous material protects the interior of alloy and carbon rims, in addition to their spokes and nipples, and a synthetic adhesive leaves zero residue behind once removed.

As a general rule of thumb, we recommend selecting a tape 1-2mm wider than the interior width of your rim.

One 10-meter roll will tape 4 x 29” rims or 5 x 27.5” rims
One 50-meter roll will tape 20 x 29” rims or 25 x 27.5” rims
Creates durable, airtight seal over spoke holes
Completely non-porous vapor barrier seals rim interior from moisture
Adhesive leaves no residue on rim, once removed
Low friction surface helps tire beads slip into place
For high pressure applications, 50 psi/3.5 bar and greater, we recommend 2 layers of the appropriate width rim tape be applied to handle the demands of higher air pressure.
For low pressure applications, 50 psi/3.5 bar and lower, we recommend 1 layer of the appropriate width rim tape be applied for Tubeless Ready rims.

Garbage

This product is as good as garbage, it isn’t sticky. Might as well use the tape you use to wrap Christmas presents. Wish I wouldn’t have wasted my money on a strip of plastic. I even blasted it with a hair dryer to heat it up. Still not Sticky. What kind of tape company makes tape that isn’t Sticky. You suck Stan!

Hey Miles, thanks for the feedback. We hear you—if you’re expecting duct-tape levels of stickiness, Stan’s can definitely feel like a surprise.

The secret is actually in the prep and the pull. Stan’s tape relies on mechanical tension and a surface that’s been stripped of all oils with alcohol. If the rim isn't clean, it won't grab.

Does not stick to Roval Rims

Product does not work with Roval alloy rims, even after several cleans with isopropyl alcohol, tape felt as if it had no adhesive capacity whatsoever, even after following direct instructions from the link on the back of the packet.

yet somewhere down the line of trying to make the product simple it became redundant and overly complex.

Worst product I have ever seen

Does not work with enve rims. I would never recommend this tape. It does not stick or adhere no matter how much your pressure you apply. You’d be better off using gorilla tape than this lousy product buy any other except this.

Does not stick to Industry 9 rims. Heat required
